Healing Begins

May 26, 2010

I heard this song after spending some time at my parents’ house last week, the night that my brother came home from Utah. It was extremely powerful to me, so I just wanted to share it with you. ♥ jb

So you thought you had to keep this up
All the work that you do
So we think that you’re good
And you can’t believe it’s not enough
All the walls you built up
Are just glass on the outside

So let ‘em fall down
There’s freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We’re here now

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you’re broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Afraid to let your secrets out
Everything that you hide
Can come crashing through the door now
But too scared to face all your fear
So you hide but you find
That the shame won’t disappear

So let it fall down
There’s freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We’re here now
We’re here now, oh

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you’re broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Sparks will fly as grace collides
With the dark inside of us
So please don’t fight
This coming light
Let this blood come cover us
His blood can cover us

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you’re broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

JB: Those are MY initials!

May 20, 2010

Why have all the last couple teen heartthrobs had ‘JB’ for initials?? Jonas Brothers. Justin Bieber. Oh! And then there’s Justin Bobby (I know that is not his real last name, but still) from The Hills. It’s really cramping my style.

Yes, I’m coming out of a two-month JennaB4 blogging hiatus to talk about this. But seriously, it just seems really weird. Something [not really important at all] to think about. :)

That’s all I’ve got today. I’m sorry. It’s currently 81º in my office and my brain is MUSH. Also (sidenote), does anyone know what would cause throbbing feet? I’m guessing it’s just from all my physical activity as of late (my body is probably in shock), or perhaps it’s just the beginning of flip flop season. Either way, my feet feel as if they’re going to shoot off the ends of my legs. Ouchie.

Until later. ♥ jb
